Friends of the Library
What do Friends Do?
The Friends of the VPL support, advocate, and host events for the library. The Friends are raising money for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, a program that puts high quality books in the hands of local kids, supporting early literacy and kindergarten readiness. To make a donation to the Imagination Library, click here.
The Friends have also made a contribution to secure Rabbett Strickland’s painting Birth of a New World so it is on display in the library. We continue to raise funds to ensure it becomes part of the library’s permanent collection. For more information, please use this link.

Friends of the Library Board
The Friends are governed by an executive board made up of member volunteers. Officers include; president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.
Meetings are held the second Thursday of the Month.
The public is welcome to attend.
